Open Secret at the Colour House
|
| What is a monster? PqrstU asks a different question: Why is a monster? Until we understand the process by which ordinary people are twisted out of shape and perpetrate horrors on other innocents; until we learn how to heal the wounded before they wound others, there will be more innocent victims, many of whom will go on to become perpetrators. Feral Theatre’s PqrstU takes this as its theme, investigating, through the eyes of a psychiatrist, a woman caught in this endless cycle, against a background of the myth of Medea. Written and devised by the company - Emma Christer and Kezia Cole - under the direction of Brian Astbury, the play will form part of Open Secret at Abbeyfest. Performances August 11th-12th 2009, 9.00pm; August 13th 2009, 7.30pm; and August 16th, 2009, 7.30pm, at The Colour House Theatre, Merton Abbey Mills, Colliers Wood, London, as part of Abbeyfest 2009.
